About Christelle Stockdale

I am a Naturopathic and Functional Medicine practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience.

I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns, using a systems-based approach to understand the underlying drivers of symptoms rather than focusing on symptom management alone.

I trained in Naturopathic and Herbal Medicine at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), and I am a registered practitioner with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and the General Naturopathic Council (GNC).

I have also completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) programme with the Institute for Functional Medicine, which supports my integrative and evidence-informed approach.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals who feel unwell despite being told their tests are normal, and who are looking for a more in-depth and personalised approach.

I commonly support:

  • Hormonal imbalances, fertility, perimenopause and menopause

  • Thyroid conditions, including Hashimoto’s

  • Digestive concerns such as IBS, SIBO, and chronic gut issues

  • Fatigue, burnout, and stress-related depletion

  • Skin conditions including acne, eczema, and psoriasis

  • Mould-related illness and more complex, chronic cases

Why I Do This Work

I came to naturopathy and functional medicine through personal experience. As a teenager and into my twenties, I spent years feeling unwell without receiving clear answers or meaningful support. Like many of my patients, I was told everything looked “normal”, yet I knew something wasn’t right.

That experience led to a genuine interest in medicine. I passed the graduate entry exam for medical school (GAMSAT) and was preparing to follow a conventional route, but after attending an introductory lecture at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, my direction changed completely.

I wanted to practise medicine in a way that sees the body as an interconnected system and focuses on identifying and addressing underlying causes, rather than managing symptoms in isolation. Naturopathy offered exactly that.

My clinical training provided a strong scientific foundation, and my work in international wellness settings showed me the value of consistent, calm, and attentive care over time.

Why It Matters To Me

I apply what I recommend. I do not ask my clients to do anything I would not be willing to do myself.

I have experienced adrenal dysfunction, thyroid imbalance, digestive issues, hormonal disruption, and the impact of prolonged stress on the body. I know first-hand how complex and frustrating these patterns can be.

I have also experienced how effective the right support can be.

That perspective shapes how I work. It brings patience, realism, and an understanding that healing is rarely linear, but entirely possible with the right approach.

What I'm Like As A Practitioner

I am calm, observant, and naturally curious. I enjoy making sense of complex health patterns and translating them into clear, practical steps.

My aim is to help people feel less overwhelmed, not more. That means simplifying where possible, without losing clinical depth.

Outside of work, I value quiet living, time in nature, travelling, and cooking. These are not separate from my work, they inform it.

Approach to Care

My work combines functional testing with a thorough clinical assessment.

This may include DUTCH hormone testing, GI360 stool analysis, mycotoxin panels, thyroid and metabolic testing, and selected food sensitivity and gut barrier testing where appropriate.

Alongside this, I use nutrition, herbal medicine, and targeted supplementation to support the body’s natural processes.

I take a detailed case history at the first consultation and look for patterns across systems, often linking symptoms that may initially appear unrelated.

From there, I create a structured, step by step plan that is realistic and manageable. The aim is to bring clarity and direction, not to overwhelm with excessive changes.

I work at a pace that suits each individual.

Experience and training

My training spans naturopathy, nutrition, functional medicine, and herbal medicine, alongside a wide range of complementary disciplines. Rather than viewing these as separate approaches, I integrate them to build a more complete clinical picture.

This includes training in yoga teaching (400hrs Classical Hatha and Vinyasa), Reiki (master level), holistic massage (ITEC), breathwork and meditation (Art of Living), heart rate variability (HRV) for nervous system regulation (HeartMath), SCENAR frequency therapy, and advanced iridology, as well as apprenticeships in medical herbalism and ayurveda.

I have also worked extensively abroad as a resident naturopath in established health retreats, supporting a wide range of clients with complex and varied health concerns.

What this means in practice is that I do not rely on a single lens. I draw on multiple frameworks to understand what is happening in the body, whether that is biochemical, structural, neurological, or stress related.

This allows me to create treatment plans that are genuinely holistic, targeted, and adaptable, rather than generic or one dimensional.

What Clients Value

Clients often come to me when they feel stuck or have not made progress elsewhere.

They value clear explanations, a structured and investigative approach, and support that is consistent and grounded.

Most importantly, they value seeing meaningful changes in their health, understanding what is driving their symptoms, and having a clear plan to move forward.
